Why can I put some pill bottles in the recycling, but not others?

If what you have are over-the-counter med containers (vitamin bottles, aspirin, etc), it is okay to put them in the recycling as long as they are bigger than a credit card. Anything smaller than a credit card will fall through the cracks and will not be recovered.

Prescription medication containers are considered prescription drug waste and should NOT go in the recycling bin.
